Developing the role of the SENCo/INCO

Inclusion is now starting to become embedded in our school, rather than something the SENCo “does” in isolation. I now work with all staff and I am an active part of the senior leadership team. Teachers now take responsibility for all their pupils.”

The role of the SENCo/INCo is wide ranging and can be extremely daunting for those new to the role. Even for experienced SENCos, support and opportunities for increasing confidence and developing practice are essential.
