Kay worked for many years in outstanding secondary schools, in both London and Hertfordshire, as a teacher, middle and senior leader. She has a degree in Economics.

Kay Leach Kay joined the advisory service in Hertfordshire in 2007 and now works for Herts for Learning Ltd as a School Effectiveness Adviser, supporting a number of schools across the county. She has always had had a particular interest in driving up standards at post 16 through appropriate academic and vocational provision.

Kay supports school leaders at all levels and in a wide range of schools to improve outcomes across all key stages. She has extensive and successful experience in providing the support and challenge necessary to move schools out of an Ofsted category and from a judgement of requires improvement to good. She also works with good schools to support their move to outstanding. Kay has taken part in many whole school reviews both and out of county and has inspection experience of both secondary and middle schools under the current school inspection framework.
