Natalie joined Herts for Learning as Head of School Business Management Services in January 2015 and prior to this had worked with HfL in the pilot phase of the SBM services project.  She is passionate about the SBM profession and believes in the significant impact this role has in school improvement by enabling SLT colleagues to have a greater focus on teaching and learning.  Natalie seeks networking opportunities and enjoys sharing best practice with colleagues.

Natalie has been a school business manager since 2009 and during this time has worked for both maintained schools and academies, and also as a cluster SBM.  Some of her highlights have been to secure bids of over £1.2 million, project manage a new build of eight classrooms,  convert a school to academy status, establish a viable breakfast club, plan and deliver a “careers” enrichment week, convert a decommissioned bus to a Learning Bus and coach and mentor colleagues.

Natalie has recently been made a Fellow of the National Association of School Business Managers, an award which formally  recognises the contribution made to school business management practice and reflects her role as a strategic leader. She has been a Specialist Leader in Education since 2012, offering school to school support and consultancy in all aspects of business management.  Prior to working in education, Natalie worked in ICT Procurement and E-Sourcing for global organisations KPMG LLP, Frictionless Commerce and SAP.
