Business Management Services
The business management function within schools is continually evolving, from driving financial efficiency, process improvement and procurement, through to leading and developing of staffing teams and working with other school leaders to support with Ofsted inspections. With an increase in schools converting to academy status or becoming multi academy trusts, the role of the school business manager (SBM) is more integral than ever to the leadership team.
Herts for Learning believes that it is important to ensure that all schools, whether maintained or academies, have access to high quality business management services, and that business manager professionals are fully supported and able to operate effectively in the best interests of their schools.
Business Management Services, now in its third year, provides a range of packages to support schools and develop and complement the work of Business Management colleagues. Our SBM consultants have extensive experience working within all school contexts and are knowledgeable about the educational landscape at both a local and national level. All are qualified SBMs (school business managers), who not only have extensive business experience, but also hold the Level 4, 5 or 6 SBM qualification. Many have achieved other professional qualifications such as Masters, MBAs and Advanced Diplomas.
