As a non-profit organisation, member schools participate in the decision-making process of distributing the remaining surplus funds through voting from a choice of benefits such as a refund, reduced fee, or enhanced services. To date, Education Mutual have reinvested over £1,000,000 back into the education sector and since 2018, have paid 100% of all valid claims made by their member schools.

Education Mutual has listened to its members, including Hertfordshire schools who have been involved with membership direction and helped improve healthcare services for 2024. 

As a result, Education Mutual now offers:

  • Neurodiversity training for employers gain insight into a diverse range of neurological conditions such as ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia, to further highlight the strengths neurodiverse individuals bring to the team.
  • Maternity and Paternity Support is a new specialist service has been introduced to provide expectant parents with the guidance, resources, and care they need to navigate this remarkable time throughout periods of pre-leave, during and post-leave.
  • Men’s Mental Wellness is designed to break down the stigma surrounding men's mental health issues and provide a safe space for open conversations and support.
