‘What Works in SEN Support’ (DfE, 2017) found that the schools with successful and promising practice for children with SEND, were underpinned by seven key features. This annual HfL conference, for SENCOs and other school leaders, offers a valuable opportunity to hear the views of the Department for Education, other nationally recognised speakers and colleagues from Hertfordshire schools. In addition, a range of workshops will enable delegates to focus and dig deeper into different aspects of learning from the day. The conference will be a valuable and uplifting day, allowing time for reflection, networking with colleagues and browsing interesting resources.
Breakfast pastries and a delicious hot buffet lunch will add to the experience.
Brian Gale OBE - SEN and Disability Professional Adviser, Department for Education
Natalie Packer - Education Consultant (SEND and School Improvement)
By attending the conference, participants will:
- have an opportunity to listen to national speakers with current and innovative ideas
- have time to reflect, reconsider and re-energise plans for provision for children with SEND
- choose from a range of workshops to personalise the day
