With Martin Post, Regional Schools Commissioner for North West London and South Central England
Essential to the success of schools is ensuring they have the right resources, a qualified workforce and strong leadership to provide the capacity for improvement. With a recent Ofsted report (December 2018) identifying that school leadership capacity is ‘worryingly thin’, the Forum provides the perfect opportunity for headteachers, governors and school business professionals to examine the power of strong leadership to deliver a coherent plan that brings together vision, strategy and operations that adapts as the school or trust evolves.
Join us for networking and relationship building and hear from expert speakers providing a national perspective, panel questions and a focussed workshop. Attendees are invited from all phases of education settings and both maintained schools and academies. Attend with key members of your SLT and governor/trustee board to maximise cross establishment discussion and collaboration.
By attending delegates will:
- be inspired by expert professionals with local and national perspectives
- interrogate key factors for leadership success
- explore the role of communication, collaboration, accountability and governance in strong school leadership and school improvement
Feedback from last year’s MAT Forum
“Getting the national picture directly from a DfE representative was valuable, combined with discussions with other headteachers and governors and shared perspectives from the speakers – all raised issues that I had not considered.”
Cost - £76 (Subsequent delegates from the same school £50)
