Herts for Learning (HfL) has today launched a new training course, specifically designed for PVI managers in and around Bedford.
Ofsted state “Strong and effective leadership makes a setting good or outstanding”1. The new course, A year in the life of an Early Years manager, allows PVI managers to forensically evaluate their own practice and provision and provides participants with personalised toolkits to support a smarter approach to leading and managing their settings across the year.
The training course will take place over four days across the year during 2019/20, starting this June at the University of Bedfordshire in Bedford and aims to:-
- inspire leaders/managers of PVI Early Years settings to be confident, competent and organised leaders
- support managers in taking an in depth look at effective ways to deliver their setting’s visions and values throughout an academic year
- use information from research and up-to-date theories relating to Early Years to influence their practice
- provide a long term vision for their setting that can be embedded into practice and followed up year after year
All delegates will be provided with a toolkit of specially devised resources from HfL to support monitoring, quality improvement and development planning.
