Herts for Learning (HfL) is pleased to announce that two of its resources, Supersonic Phonics and Essential foundations for counting, have achieved either a bronze, silver or gold award in the ‘Staff resources’ category at the 2019 Nursery World Equipment and Resources Awards. The staff resources category is for ‘early years equipment and resources that help practitioners and managers to improve their practice and provision’.
Supersonic Phonics is a resource packed full of lively, engaging and active phonic activities to help develop early literacy skills in young children. The Supersonic Phonic ‘easy-to-use’ activity cards promote a range of activities to enable practitioners to structure active phonic sessions. The cards are based on elements of the ‘letters and sounds’ phased developmental approach to teaching phonics.
Essential foundations for counting is a set of booklets created by HfL’s primary maths and EYFS experts to support the development of children’s foundations for counting. Each booklet focuses on a key skill: pattern, classification, comparison, group recognition or subitising.
It will be revealed on the night of the awards which certification (bronze, silver or gold) HfL has received for each resource. The awards ceremony takes place on Saturday 28th September at The Brewery, London.
