Herts for Learning (HfL) HR Services team have launched a new service – Insights Discovery® – to schools that helps people in understanding themselves and understanding others. The service can improve personal and team effectiveness and make the most of the relationships that affect the workplace.
The workshops and individual profiles help us to understand an individual’s styles, strengths and the value they bring to the team, improving personal effectiveness, working relationships and teamwork within an organisation.
The Insights Discovery® methodology uses a simple and memorable four-colour model to help people understand their style, their strengths and the value they bring to the team. The unique mix of Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green and Cool Blue energies determines how and why people behave the way they do.
Speaking about the benefits that this service will have, Chris Brown, HR Manager said: “The beauty of Insights Discovery® is its accessibility. It gives a common language that everyone can understand to improve their interactions with others, and increase the effectiveness of themselves and their teams.
“This is all about connections. We have all had those people who we have failed to connect with and the impact of this can be significant to performance and even wellbeing. Insights Discovery® is a great way to understand how people perceive the world, how they react, why they behave the way they do and what traits they interact well with.
“By building this knowledge, individuals and teams can improve relationships, manage more effectively, work more productively and avoid conflict.”
Chris also believes that this will have a huge benefit to people who work in or around education. “It will help SLTs establish whether or not they have a good mix of energy in the team and indeed various teams around the school”.
