Detailed English plan – Year 4 - Fly Eagle, Fly
This detailed English plan will support teachers in Year 4 deliver an exciting and engaging narrative unit, based on the picture book, Fly Eagle, Fly! By Christopher Gregorowski. The plan weaves together the statements from the reading (word reading and comprehension), spoken language and writing (transcription, handwriting, composition, VGP and spelling) components of the 2014 curriculum, showing how these aspects of learning can be addressed through creative learning experiences. During the 2-week unit, children will produce a range of written outcomes based on this African folktale.
