ESSENTIALmaths Spring term diagnostic assessments Years 1-5
The suite of diagnostic assessment materials are mapped to the ESSENTIALmaths pitch of learning. They include end of Spring term tests for years 1 to 5, a mark book to support analysis and planning guidance.
The arithmetic and reasoning tests include multiple-choice answers. Answers have been carefully selected to expose misconceptions. The planning guide then signposts how to address these and where the learning is revisited in later sequences.
The aim is to support teachers to address learning gaps and misconceptions, as well as maintaining strengths over the coming terms.
So what now? I know the gaps, but how and when do I address them?
