This set of data retention resources consists of example data retention policies and data retention schedules (supplied in both Word and Excel, to suit the user’s preference). These have been adapted from the toolkits for maintained schools and for academies produced by the Information Records Management Society (IRMS). Please note that much of the guidance is advisory only, and schools and academies should ensure that they customise the documents to fit their own business and operational needs.
