The SFVS is the Department for Education's financial control framework for maintained schools. Governors are required to submit an annual statement of compliance, or intended improvement actions, in relation to the 25 questions that make up the standard. The next submission is required to be returned to the Local Authority by 13 April 2017. The session will give insight into how to collect the evidence required to support the answers. As SIAS is responsible for co-ordinating the returns process, we will also share what we have learnt in previous years.
