Following the successful rollout of ‘Curriculum design in the early years foundation stage – a step-by-step guide’, we have developed an update to the product based on customer feedback.
The update considers key knowledge and vocabulary that can be taught in the Reception year to effectively prepare children for the programmes of study in key stage 1, particularly for the national curriculum foundation subjects and science. There are lots of practical examples given of how key knowledge and vocabulary can be introduced and developed through activity zones in the continuous provision within the Reception classroom.
