Focused English Plan – Year 1 – Little Red And The Very Hungry Lion - Narrative
This focused English plan will support teachers in Year 1 to deliver an interesting and engaging narrative unit based on the wonderful text ‘Little Red And The Very Hungry Lion’ by Alex T Smith. Covering a range of speaking and listening, reading and writing skills, this plan demonstrates how these aspects of learning can be delivered through engaging and purposeful learning opportunities. Attuning skills in reading and writing, children will produce a number of incidental written pieces of work, culminating in a retelling of a traditional tale with a twist at the end of the unit.
