Back on Track: Early Years Foundation Stage
Early Years curriculum adjustment
The Back on Track: Early Years curriculum adjustment package supports headteachers, EYFS leaders and teachers in Nursery and Reception to plan for effective delivery of a bespoke, child-centred curriculum upon wider school re-opening in September.
It ensures that leaders and teachers are able to provide the optimal transition that quickly builds warm, positive relationships and an environment that enables children to feel secure, confident and happy so that they can get back on track.
The package includes training with an option for additional consultancy and resources.
Training and resources
Three live digital training sessions to take place in September 2020 are included in the package, with access to recorded versions for further dissemination across teams.
The training sessions will help identify gaps in learning and development early on so they can robustly inform both longer and shorter term teaching priorities with an emphasis on the Prime areas and the characteristics of effective learning.
They will also apply principles that will support the identification of key skills, knowledge and understanding that need to be retaught and consolidated within Nursery and Reception curriculum provision and planning.
Each training sessions is targeted at a different audience:
- EYFS Leader
- Nursery practitioners
- Reception practitioners
