The Key Stage 1 Mathematics TAFs within ESSENTIALmaths 2018-19
ESSENTIALmaths is written to support the curriculum for primary teachers. The sequences are written as a spiral curriculum in which learning is built upon step by step, sequence by sequence and year on year.
The Key Stage 1 Mathematics TAFs within ESSENTIALmaths documents have been developed as a tool to identify where there are opportunities for teaching and learning linked to specific statements in the Teacher Assessment Frameworks (TAFs) for both the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years.
The three main documents detail the learning sequences and steps within ESSENTIALmaths where evidence of the ‘pupil can’ statements for the three standards (WTS, EXS and GDS) could be found.
