Herts for Learning offer customers an annual contract covering a wide range of education and business services, products and resources available to schools, academies, multi academy trusts and other educational settings in Hertfordshire and beyond.

    Online contracts are issued to existing customers annually each March based on the previous year’s usage, with the option to either add, amend or upgrade any of the Herts for Learning services that you buy into.

    2018-19 Contract Services renewal process

    This year we are introducing a simplified 1-2-3 step online renewal process for Contract Services.

    During March 2018 the Headteacher and Chair of Governor from each school that buys into our Contract Services will receive an email with details about the 2018-19 renewal process.

    Guide to the new contract services 2018-19 e-process

    Your contract will be sent to the headteacher and chair of governors email week commencing 19th March 2018.

    The headteacher and the chair of governors will both get a copy of the contract. A reminder email will be sent to the school business manager (if applicable) to inform them that the contract has been sent.

    There is an opportunity to make any changes to the contract in the comments box; indicate the change you would like, sign and send it back. Please note that to avoid disruption to your current services, when returning a change, you will only be committing to the services with no change and an updated contract will be sent.

    Preferably the headteacher should sign the contract. Alternatively, if they are unavailable to do this, an authorised signatory for the school, academy or setting is able to sign the contract. If you are signing on behalf of a multi-academy trust, please follow your own internal signing off procedure.

    In order for Herts for Learning to send updates and communications on new and existing products to your school, academy or setting, we need to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). So that Herts for Learning are compliant, we need to have permission from the school, academy or setting to communicate and market these products.

    You will have the option to print or save your contract from the document signing programme.

    If you would like a breakdown of the ICT contract, please indicate this in comments box; an ICT services breakdown will be sent to the headteacher (unless otherwise requested).

    If you are converting to an academy before the 1st April 2018, you will be sent the academies version of your contract. If you are converting after 1st April, you will be sent the maintained version of your contract and then an amended academies version of the contract will be sent once the conversion is confirmed.

    We do need the contract signed and returned by the due date. Communications will be sent periodically to the headteacher and chair of governors about the process. Your services will continue to be delivered, however there is a possibility of disruption if the contract is not returned.

    If more than one contract is sent back, and there are differences between them, Herts for Learning will contact the headteacher to ensure the right services are delivered. If the contracts are duplications the headteacher will not be contacted.
