Herts for Learning has once again been shortlisted for the School Recruitment Award at this year’s Education Business Awards.
This year’s entry showcased how HfL has worked with local schools to develop a new and extended format for the Teach in Herts Teacher Recruitment Fairs, creating more localised events around Hertfordshire and highlighted the new ‘Get into teaching’ events.
Anne Taylor, Head of Recruitment Services at HfL, said:
“I am delighted that we have once again been shortlisted for this award, recognising the investment Herts for Learning has made in Teach in Herts to raise awareness of the excellent training and support provided for Hertfordshire teachers when they join one of our schools.
We are dedicated to attracting more potential teachers to the profession and removing any barriers to getting in to teaching. We enjoy the events where people can meet face to face and leave knowing their next steps. We are committed to working with Hertfordshire colleagues to look for innovative solutions to high profile issues such as workload reduction, retention and well-being. These are ever more important pillars of our work to ensure that schools and academies across Hertfordshire continue to have access to high-quality teachers and are able to achieve the very best for every child in Hertfordshire and beyond.”
The Education Business School Recruitment Award recognises “an educational establishment which has invested in its recruitment methods and processes to ensure a timely intake of appropriate teaching and support staff” and the Teach in Herts team are looking forward to joining other shortlisted organisations at the Leonardo Royal Hotel St. Paul’s in London on 4th July, for the prestigious 2019 Business Education Awards presentations.
