Summer training and events: leading the way in digital delivery

    Published: 21 April 2020

In response to the continuing Covid-19 situation we have taken the decision to rationalise our summer programme of training and events.

Summer training graphicHerts for Learning (HfL)  is committed to the implementation of a strategy of ‘Digital by default’ and we have been moving at a steady pace to digital delivery of many training programmes.  The circumstances in which we find ourselves mean this shift will happen at a faster pace than any of us would have anticipated.

Approximately one third of courses originally scheduled to be delivered face-to-face during the summer term will now be delivered digitally, focusing on areas where demand from schools and settings is likely to be greatest.

The revised course programme will be available to view at

If you require addition support or further information, please do not hesitate to contact the events team via email or by calling 01438 845111 (option 2). In the event that you or one of your staff or governors are already booked on a training course or conference, please be assured that our events team will be in contact with you over the coming days.

We recognise that everyone will be at different points on the digital learning curve and that some people will find the transition to remote learning easier than others. We would encourage all schools and settings to use this term as an opportunity for staff to develop and enhance their digital learning capabilities.  This will position us well for the autumn term by which point the way forward should be a little clearer.
