The HfL Early Year’s team have developed the cohort summary profile to support with collating information to inform provision. Practitioners should gather information from a range of sources to populate the summary; home visits, previous setting visits, parent meetings, visits to childminders to populate the document. This information will support with identifying the characteristics of the cohort, contextualise starting point information and ensure that provision is meets the needs of the new cohort.
