Year 1 Seasonal change booklet
The purpose of this seasonal change booklet, teacher notes and assessment task is for Year 1 teachers to think about the different ways in which pupils can observe and record changes between the seasons. It is not intended to be used as scheme of work or unit of work but it does provide a broad range of activities from which to choose to ensure pupils have the opportunity to explore each season with a particular focus on how the weather affects living things. The booklet can assist in recording of information by the children and also in suggestions for whole class displays that show clear comparisons and changes over time to support children’s learning.
