In-school mathematics support packages include:
- subject-specific review
- working with individual teachers to help develop their practice
- advice on curriculum planning and resourcing
- working with staff to maximise progress at GCSE and A level
- working directly with students to boost achievement at GCSE and ‘A’-level
- support with target-setting and tracking of progress
- review and standardisation of mock marking
- preparation for inspection
Our packages are tailored to meet the specific needs of each school, so please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your needs.
Training courses, CPD and work groups
We run full-day and half-day training courses and events through the year.
Our Mathematics advisers also deliver a number of work groups on behalf of the Matrix Maths Hub. Each work group involves three or four sessions throughout the year, with members of the group working together to develop practice in a specific area. This is a different, but highly effective, model of CPD, which relies on the completion of ‘gap tasks’ between sessions.
Revision workshops for students
Designed to motivate and challenge students in an engaging, focused and active learning environment, our revision workshops are led by subject experts with a wealth of experience in providing additional support.
Parents or schools can book students directly onto half day or full day GCSE revision sessions. See the flyer below for more details.
Annual Mathematics Challenges
The annual Year 7 and 8 Mathematics Challenges are highly enjoyable for students and teachers alike. Five heats in different parts of the county, followed by a Grand Final. A variety of activities, testing the students’ mathematical knowledge, problem-solving, practical and team-working skills.
